We represent environmental advocates and others striving for policy outcomes before agencies, courts, and legislatures. We have handled hundreds of public utility commission cases in Michigan and other states over the past 15 years.
Energy
We advise renewable energy companies building the clean energy systems that will decarbonize the electric grid. We assist with every phase of project development, including real estate, zoning and permitting, regulatory, contracts, and state and local law support of tax credit transactions.
Environment
We provide legal tools to communities, organizations, and Tribes for protecting the environment and conserving natural resources. We do this work via advice, transaction assistance, and advocacy – and litigation when necessary.
Consumer Advocacy
We represent consumer advocates and others working for fair, affordable, and equitable utility rates, and to reduce energy burdens on low-income customers. We assist these advocates in opposing rate increases and holding monopoly utility companies accountable for their actions.
